Yesterday, our Miller County Youth Leadership group had a great opportunity to learn more about the community we call home!

We started with Jayme Smith of the City of Colquitt Downtown Development Authority, who shared some of Miller County’s rich history, highlighted recent developments, and discussed exciting plans for the future.

Next, Kate Cook with the Chamber of Commerce spoke with our young leaders about public speaking and the importance of communicating with confidence. She then took the group on a mural tour, giving students a chance to explore some of the artwork that celebrates our community.

A big thank you to Jayme and Kate for investing your time in our future leaders! Experiences like these help our students develop leadership skills, build connections, and gain a greater appreciation for Miller County and all it has to offer.

Learning about our community today. Preparing to lead it tomorrow!
