About Me:

Growing up, I always pretended to be a teacher. Little did I know that one day, my pretend play would become a reality. After living through, and sometimes suffering through, a few bumps and bruises of life, I began my educational career.

I received my Associate of Arts degree in Math Education from Bainbridge College in 1992. I then transferred to Georgia Southwestern State University in Americus, Ga, where I received my Bachelors of Science degree in Secondary Math Education in 1995. I eventually received my Master's degree in Secondary Math Education from Albany State University in 2003. Continuing with my education, I received by gifted endorsement from RESA in 2015.

My first teaching experience was from March 1995 to May 1995 at Bainbridge High School in Bainbridge, Ga. From August 1995 to present I have been here at Miller County High School. I am presently working on my 23rd year of teaching. In those 23 years I have taught Ecology, Biology, and every math from Basic Skills to Calculus.

Throughout my teaching career, I have been math department chair, junior class sponsor, senior class sponsor, Beta Club sponsor, slow pitch JV softball coach, assistant high school slow pitch softball coach, cheerleader assistant coach, cheerleader bus driver, Hospital Homebound teacher, 21st Century After School Program math tutor, and 21st Century Summer Program for Credit Recovery. Accolades include being chosen as STAR teacher 4 times.
