Bio

I’m originally from the Alabama Gulf Coast, but moved to this area after my father went into the ministry. I graduated from Early County and taught there before finally deciding to be a pirate instead!

I hold a B.S. in History from Georgia Southwestern State University, a Master of Arts in Military History from Norwich University (a small military college in the northeast), and a certificate from the Carl Vinson Institute of Government at UGA.

While I’m not at school, I serve on the Swamp Gravy Cast Council and as the third-term mayor of the town of Bluffton. I have several hobbies and enjoy traveling: I studied abroad in Costa Rica, served on a delegation to India, and was recently sworn in as an honorary citizen of Metropolis, Illinois, pledging to uphold the values of “Truth, Justice, and the American Way!”
